Cold and Tired

Someone turned off the heat here in the northeast. A few days ago we were enjoying 60 degree weather. Now it's 32. I know the calendar says December...so what :-P

I’ve been busy getting two books up on Amazon and B&N this week. For whatever reason, B&N still hasn’t published the books. BUT Amazon has. :o)

Unwrapped and Wild in Paradise are currently available for sale.

I’m working on uploading to Smashwords too. I have one more Christmas story I plan to upload before the holiday. After that I’ll be taking my time with the other four books. I have too much to do in prep for the season.

Self-Publishing is scary and exciting at the same time. The unknown is scary and knowing that two of my babies are live is exciting. Now I spend all my time checking sales. That is draining me. I need a distraction.

Our tree is standing. It’s naked, but it’s up. the DH and I pulled all the boxes out of the attic last night. So Saturday while I’m working (URGHHHHHHH), I’ll be decorating.

Sunday I’ll be in New Hampshire at a book signing with my friends Ashlyn Chase and Dalton Diaz. I love these ladies and can’t wait to see them. I’m lucky enough to be in an anthology with them.

Art of Modern Love…we’ll be signing this book along with others.

Hope you all have a cheerful weekend!

  1. My girls had me in tears yesterday. They were remembering all the things we've done over the past few years for Christmas that sound so pitiful to me. Like the dollar store table clothes (red and green) that I cut to make a Christmas tree on red background and the paper-cut snowflakes we made to decorate it, then hung it on the wall to put our very few gifts under. It made me so sad that I had failed them in all the music, garland, baking, lights kind of way that most kids have growing up. But they said it was one of their best Christmas memories.

We still have that tree as a keepsake.

I'm on the bittersweet fence with that one, but I'm glad they will always see it with rose-colored glasses.

  2. Your tree is standing?? That's a step up from me. Ours is still in the attic.

I'm so curious how the whole self-publishing process works. I thought if you uploaded to smashwords, it automatically went up on Amazon and B&N and so on. Then I'm curious how you format everything. Who you find to make covers, where you go for edits...it all sounds fascinating to me, but yeah...super draining.

  3. Not a decoration in sight yet. I'm hoping to get some up this weekend. Congrats on the self publishing! I hope it brings many, many sales.
