Pleasure Me - Tina Donahue

I'm thrilled that Pleasure Me, my first Black Hills Wolves book, is available for preorder and coming out April 22. This is my first were-shifter romance and it was a blast to write!

Blurb:

There's no place like home...especially for a wolf who shouldn't have run away

Wylder Aaron always knew Starr Joseph was his mate, but the time wasn’t right for them. To escape his hopeless feelings for her, he fled Los Lobos and joined the military, not even saying goodbye.

Starr wanted nothing more in life than Wylder. When he left, she fled too. Her sultry beauty made her an instant success as the new look for a major cosmetics firm. However, fame is fleeting. At twenty-six, she’s old news and forgotten. Worse, loneliness led her into the arms of another were-shifter with a jealous streak. During his last rage, he slashed the side of her face, promising to kill her the next time she tried to flee.

She did anyway, returning to the safety and anonymity of Los Lobos…straight into Wylder’s arms.

Excerpt:

Starr sagged into him, lost in his heat and strength. Bad move for someone who claimed to want peace and solitude, but she couldn’t help herself. She had needed to taste him for twelve years, dreamed of his stubble rasping her cheeks, his tongue deep within her mouth, possessing her.
He eased her closer, his grip steel, unwilling to let her go. He drove his fingers into her hair and cupped her skull, keeping her still in order to plunder her mouth.
A whimper rose to the base of her throat, the sound muffled by his tongue and the blood pounding in her ears. Never had she been as alive, her body molded to his, fitting perfectly. God, she wanted to drown in his effortless masculinity, laze in his kindness.
Whatever she wanted, he’d said.
This, for now. Later, who knew?
He’d hurt her beyond words years before. She understood he hadn’t meant to. However, the pain had lingered and grown, leaving her unsure about men. She’d never had a father to teach her how guys thought or behaved, only Wylder. He’d been her instructor without realizing he was even playing the role. She came to expect every guy to be like him, running from her as he had, leaving her uncertain and lonely.
Kade had been different, his intensity a comfort rather than setting off alarms. What a fool she’d been. No more. She had to take things slow no matter what her heart and body wanted.
Wylder ran his thumb over her throat, pulling a new moan from her. Forgetting control, she sucked his tongue deeper, not yet content, wanting to be a part of his heart, blood, and soul. Would she ever have enough?
She’d followed him to his job, this store, and Gee’s, hoping to get some relief from her endless craving rather than whetting her appetite for more. At least Wylder hadn’t laughed at her foolish stalking. If he had, she would have died even more inside. Instead, he’d made himself available, almost too visible as he’d never had in the past.
Because he was a changed man, she a changed woman, things could work out.
In time.
She pulled her mouth free again, her lips stinging from the force of their kiss.
“Uh-uh, we’re not through.” He brought her right back, practically devouring her, the same as she did with him, her leg wrapped around his, arms wreathed over his shoulders, the noises they made sloppy, joyous, uncontrolled.
“Ah, guys?”
She froze. He didn’t, grunting and groaning. With her palm on his chest, she pushed him back, freeing herself. Quickly, she smoothed her hair on the left side.
A friend of her mom glanced past her to him and gestured to the candy rack. “I just need the gumdrops and I’ll be on my way.”
Wylder pulled every pack off the metal pole and handed them to her.
She smiled wanly. “Thanks.”
“Welcome.” He snaked his arm around Starr’s waist again.
She elbowed his gut.
His breath puffed out. He dropped his arm. “What was that for?”
“Enough of the kissing. All right?”
“Hell no.” He crowded her.
She stood her ground and lifted her chin. Her days of being a pushover for any man were history.
His shoulders drooped. He gave her one of those don’t-be-mad-at-me smiles guys used at one time or another to get their way.
She wasn’t moved.
He sobered. “You want to go outside?”
“No.”
“Where?”
“Home.”
“Whose?”
“Mine.”
His eyebrows shot up. “Your mom’s there, right?” He scratched his neck. “Won’t she mind if we, uh, you know….”
He didn’t need to draw her a picture. “No, she won’t mind, because we aren’t going to.”
His shoulders slumped again. “You mean today, right?”
Hell, he was asking her as though she knew. “I wanted to kiss you. That’s all.”
“Wait.” He held up his hand, grew thoughtful, and stared. “Since you have kissed me, you don’t want to anymore, ever? Was I that bad?”
Her legs were still wobbly, her insides and brain reduced to mush. She was still using all her will to retain her dignity. If she hadn’t, she would have dropped to the floor, drooling like the unhinged. “Seriously, you need to ask?”
His cheeks reddened. “Only with you.”
Because she mattered or because she hadn’t given him two thumbs up? “I have to go.”
He grabbed her wrist. “Why? We can have a beer, take a walk, talk.”
Not with her tangled thoughts, they couldn’t. They’d end up in his room, humping away. Gee’s patrons would hear every whap of the bed against the floor and wall. She was already tense whenever the pack members spotted her, not knowing what they might say. Adding more gossip wouldn’t help. Once her and Wylder’s kiss in here zipped through the town’s supersonic grapevine, everyone would be looking at her as though she had three heads instead of two, like they were currently doing.
She yanked her arm away. “Bye.” She fled the building and raced past the vehicles in the lot, reaching the road.
“Starr Joseph, stop, I mean it!”
She jerked at Wylder’s shout and turned.
He was yards away, sunlight glancing off his silky hair, the rays glinting in his light eyes. His eyebrows and stubble were nearly black, his skin rich and fragrant, the scent drifting toward her with the breeze.
She bit back a wanton moan.
He pointed his finger at her. “You’re my mate, understand? Sooner or later—and I predict much, much sooner—we are getting together. Believe it.”

About Tina:

I’m an Amazon and international
bestselling novelist in erotic, paranormal, contemporary and historical romance
for Kensington, Samhain Publishing, Ellora’s Cave, Siren Publishing, Booktrope,
Luminosity, Decadent, and indie.
Booklist, Publisher’s Weekly,
Romantic
Times
and numerous online sites have praised my work. Three of my erotic novels (Freeing the Beast, Come and Get Your Love, and
Wicked Takeover) were Readers' Choice
Award winners. Another three (Adored,
Lush Velvet Nights,
and Deep, Dark,
Delicious
) were named finalists in the EPIC competition. Sensual Stranger, my erotic contemporary
romance, was chosen Book of the Year at the French review site Blue Moon
reviews. The Golden Nib Award at Miz Love Loves Books was created specifically
for my erotic romance Lush Velvet Nights.
Two of my titles (The Yearning and Deep, Dark, Delicious) received an Award
of Merit in the RWA Holt Medallion competition.
Take Me Away and Adored both
won second place in the NEC RWA contest (different years). I’m featured in the Novel
& Short Story Writer’s Market. Before penning romances, I worked at a major
Hollywood production company in Story Direction.

On a less serious note: I’m an
admitted and unrepentant chocoholic, I brake for Mexican restaurants, and have
been known to moan like Meg Ryan in When
Harry Met Sally
while I’m wolfing down tostadas. I’ve flown a single-engine
airplane (freaking scary), rewired an old house using an ‘electricity for
dummies’ book, and am horribly shy despite the hot romances I write.

12 Days of Christmas

Day 4 features Unwrapped. Comment to win an ebook

Blurb:
With no family to celebrate the Christmas holiday, Meg Trainor agrees to open the library on Christmas Eve in case someone is looking for solace in a book.

What she doesn’t expect are two devilishly handsome strangers to get stranded in her small Massachusetts town.

Brad and Shane Griffin are headed to New York for the annual toy convention, when their car breaks down. They’re in for a surprise when they find one hot librarian waiting for them.

Can three lonely souls and a bag full of toys bring new meaning to Mistletoe?

Excerpt:
“So about those copies, I’ll get them started for you. You can wait out here for your partner.” She emphasized the word partner, letting him know she understood.
“Are you sure? I can do it,” he offered.
“It’s my job.”
Brad handed her the folder. “Okay, thanks.”
“Make yourself comfortable.”
His hand reached out, sweeping down her arm. “You’re a very sweet woman. I hope my request doesn’t offend you in any way.”
She looked at him quizzically. “Of course not. How will making copies offend me? It’s my job.”
Weirdo.
“It’s just I…never mind. Go ahead; I’ll wait here for Shane.”
Meg made her way to the back room, confused by Brad’s remark. How in the world could he possibly offend her? He asked her to make copies of his products. They were toys, for God’s sake.
Meg smiled to herself as she reached the copier. The cover read Turquoise Toys—an odd name. Opening the folder, Meg’s mouth fell to the floor as she stared at the pictures in front of her.

Meg couldn’t believe her eyes. These were not the toys she had imagined. She thought he was talking about children’s toys. These were not intended for children. These were adult toys in every sense of the word. There were floggers, paddles, butt plugs, ball gags, straps with dildos attached and handcuffs—all Turquoise, explaining the name. Meg wasn’t naive about the BDSM world. When she realized her desire to submit she wanted to know the who, what, where and why. She read everything she could about the subject. She knew enough about it to understand.
She’d even bought a few toys to experiment with. Like the ping pong paddle she’d purchased when she was curious to know what it felt like to be spanked. It wasn’t something she did regularly but when she was in the mood for a good orgasm she’d slap her cheeks a few times before using her favorite vibrator. She never had dated a man who was actually part of that world.
Brad was gay so he wouldn’t be offering. What a shame because she could see them having fun together!
Could he be carrying a bagful of goodies? Maybe Santa was going to be extra special to her this year. Please Santa I’ve been a good girl all year long. Please tell me you sent Brad with something extra special for my stocking this year.
Halfway through the job, Meg decided it was time to go back to her stranger. He’d been out there long enough. By now, he knew she was aware of his secret.
Turning she ran smack into his broad chest again. “We really need to stop meeting like this.”
Clearing her throat, she took a step back only to come against the copier. “I was just coming out to see you.”
He stepped closer, closing the small gap between them. “How are you doing?” His voice dripped with desire.
“Fantastic. Your copies are just about done.”
Damn she wished he’d step back. He was much too close. He turned her on.
“Are you sure?” He traced his finger along her cheek.
She gulped, her body overheating.
He bent closer, taking her lips. He kissed her slowly. She melted against him; her arms snaked around his neck. He touched her breast, causing a moan to escape her lips.
His bulge brushed against her. He wanted her.
While he kissed her, his fingers unzipped the back of her dress then unsnapped her bra. He pushed the garments down around her waist, exposing her breasts.
His mouth covered her nipple, sucking until it puckered. God his mouth felt good.
How long had it been since a man had his mouth on her? Too long. Lisa was right; she needed to get laid, but not by Kenny.
When Brad moved to the other breast she thought for sure she was going to crumble to the floor. Her hands gripped the edges of the copier to steady herself.
“I’m going to fuck you Meg, right now against this copier. Are you okay with that?”

Blurb:
On the verge of their tenth anniversary, Cole is planning a surprise gift aboard a boat for his wife Avery. Bathing suits are optional - preferably left behind. The only other thing they need to make this weekend perfect? Owen their next door neighbor.

Out on the open sea, Avery will find herself tied to the rails being tortured in the sweetest ways imaginable. The men take her to delicious heights, only to leave her hanging - if only momentarily. When she demands an orgasm she oversteps the boundaries Cole and Owen have but in place. The two men spank her back into submission. There's nothing like red cheeks to ignite the flames of desire in Cole.

After a tremulous six months of clawing their way back together, Avery is ready to accept the help she needs to fix the marriage her husband has fought so hard to save. Will a weekend of hot, sweaty sex be enough to rescue them?

Excerpt:
AVERY WANTED TO wipe that smug look off her sister’s face.
“What’s so funny, Kendall?”
“You and Cole. You’re like dogs in heat. I’m surprised there aren’t a herd of kids running rampant around this yard.”
“We’re very careful. We both want children eventually, but we love our lives too much to have them right now.” She wondered if it sounded selfish. She and Cole shared such an incredible sex life that she worried if she had children, it would go away. She’d heard horror stories where couples had children and their relationships fell apart. While she trusted their love, she still didn’t want to risk losing the amazing sex.
Damn, how she’d wanted Cole to drag her into the kitchen, prop her up on the granite countertop, slide her bikini bottoms over, and slip his hard cock inside her. Once Kendall and Owen made their exit, Avery planned to attack her husband. She craved every last inch of Cole.
“You really should see a sex therapist, Avery.”
“Why, because I enjoy sex with my husband?”
“Yes and no. I’m glad you want sex with only Cole, but you guys go at it like rabbits. It can’t be healthy. Is your connection with Cole that deep on every level? If is it is, I hate you for making marriage look so easy.”
Avery turned and looked to the patio, where Cole stood talking with Owen. She wondered what had them looking so serious. She shrugged. Cole would tell her later. He shared everything.
“Oh, so you’re here today because you’re concerned about me?” Avery turned her attention to her sister sitting in the lounge chair, soaking up the sun’s rays.
“I’m here because you’re my sister and I love you very much. And your husband makes a killer steak.”
“He does, doesn’t he? Cole’s amazing.” God, she felt like a love-struck teen fawning over her favorite actor.
“Jesus, Avery. Are your nipples getting hard from looking at Cole? You really do need to see a sex therapist. I’m officially jealous of you two.”
Blah, blah, blah. She didn’t want to hear any more of her sister’s talk about a sex therapist. Avery wasn’t giving up sex with her husband. She longed to feel his soft lips licking and tugging on her hard nipples. Arousal swarmed over her body; juices seeped out onto her bathing suit. Frustrated over not being about to get the relief she sought, Avery jumped into the cool water and swam to the other end of the pool, where she could be alone. She hung on to the edge of the pool and let her legs float in the water.
The cool water didn’t ease the ache between her legs. She wondered if Cole suffered from a rock-hard dick. Did he wish they were alone so he could fuck her? Most likely. If she knew her husband half as well as she thought she did, he was on the same smoking-hot page as her.
“Steaks are done. Come and get it before it gets you,” Cole called out.
“Coming,” she said.

Good Luck and thanks for dropping by.

Whet Your Appetite Wednesday - Shelley Munro

Past Regrets by Shelley Munro
Thanks to Amber for having me to visit today. We go through life making friends. Some of our friendships are enduring while others fall by the wayside. Friendships bring love, laughter and conflict—the stuff that’s food for a writer. In the Love and Friendship series, I explore both the good and bad when it comes to friendship. I hope you enjoy this second installment in my series.

Blurb:

Never look back…unless that’s where your heart belongs.

Love and Friendship, Book 2

Julia Maxwell was a seize-the-moment party girl until the night she spent with up-and-coming rocker Ryan Callander. From that moment, she was a one-man woman. Pity he hasn’t kept with the program.

Tired of the secrets that have kept her out of the press and Ryan’s fans happy, angry with mounting evidence of infidelity, Julia is older, wiser, and determined to divorce his cheatin’ ass.

Ryan’s long European tour had more than its share of hard knocks—one of which landed on his head when he was mugged. Divorce papers waiting for him at home are a shock that fills in some of the holes in his sketchy memory. But it could be too late to salvage his marriage.

If Ryan thinks flirtatious smiles, seductive touches, and hot-and-heavy kisses are going to smooth things over, Julia’s got a hammer with his name on it. To her surprise, he picks it up, determined to rebuild a bright future for both of them. But the past is lurking with some missing pieces that could bring their hearts crashing down.

Product Warnings
Contains a pissed ex-stripper turned burlesque dancer, a bunch of nosy friends and a smooth-talking rocker with one thing on his mind. Stripper poles and skimpy costumes may be involved.

EXCERPT:
She accepted the plate he handed her and bit into the apricot and custard pastry while she considered his words. The pastry was crisp, the apricot sweet yet a bit tart and the custard oozed into her mouth. She almost moaned at the first bite. Pure sinful delight.

“God, don’t do that,” he muttered, ripping his gaze off her to stare down at the coffee cupped in his hands.

“Don’t do what?”

“Watching you eat reminds me of sex. Do you know how long it’s been for me? Do you want me to have an embarrassing accident?”

Julia snorted. “Please. If you’re talking about dry spells, I’ve almost worn out my vibrator.”

“Well,” he said after a long pause in which she cursed inwardly for giving him the truth. “We could always take care of our problem together.”

“Good try. I don’t want—”

“Give me a chance to woo you again.” He spoke at the same time, causing her to break off her outright rejection. “Please, Julia. You loved me enough to marry me. You owe me this chance to put things right.”

“Maybe I don’t want to make things right,” she whispered. Liar, liar, pants on fire. If she didn’t want him then why had she rejected every request for a date she’d received in the last few months? She’d stayed at home instead of going out, unless it was with one of the Tight Five. But he’d broken her heart, broken something inside her. If she took a leap, trusted him again…

“You don’t mean that.”

His grimace and slight shake of his head made her heart twist with indecision of her own. He was right. They might have had a short courtship, but she hadn’t gone into their marriage lightly. “Could we shelve the talk of marriage and take each day as it comes instead of planning for the future?” Please let him say yes. This was the only way she’d get through the next few months with the club and her mother.

“As long as this is the final discussion we have about divorce, I’m willing to take each day as it comes. Let me help and be a part of this. Let the band rehearse at your club and let me hang out with you. You agreed last night. What’s changed?”

Julia dabbed the crumbs on her plate with her finger, unable to meet his gaze. “Everything kept going around in my mind. I didn’t sleep much.”

“I have a solution for that as well. Let me move in here with you. No,” he said when she stood. “I’ll sleep in the spare room or on the couch. I don’t care. I promise I won’t do anything to upset you. Maybe we began our marriage with the wrong mindset. We need to start from scratch and get to know each other instead of leaping into bed at the first opportunity.”

Julia picked up her pastry and took another mouthful. It tasted even better than the first bite. She swallowed and licked a bit of custard off her top lip before glancing at him again. “I don’t think—God, don’t look at me like that.”

He advanced on her then, prowling around the edge of the counter to take her pastry and set it aside. “I won’t do anything more than kissing.” His warm hand smoothed down her back to come to rest on the curve of one buttock. He pinched hard enough to make her jump, chuckling at her start of surprise. “And maybe some groping. Nothing else until you say we can take things further.”

She pushed him away and snatched up her pastry, determined to enjoy the last bite. Delicious and worth every calorie. “I—”

“Julia, say yes.” He backed her against the counter, until the hard edge dug into her back. His wiry strength held her in place, yet she didn’t feel threatened.

“You’ve lost weight,” she blurted.

“My appetite disappeared after the mugging, and I haven’t been sleeping well. I have headaches.” He shuddered but didn’t add more.

Most guys would be whining but he was very straightforward. Smart move on his part. Yikes, bitch alert.
“How bad are they?”

“They’re worse when I get overtired or stressed.”

“What did the doctors say?”

“They think the headaches will gradually taper off. So, do you feel sorry enough for me to invite me to stay?”

“You’re playing me.” Bother, she just couldn’t keep her bitchy side contained.

“A little.” A cheeky grin surfaced—one containing an edge of flirtation and a smidgeon of boyish charm. The sort of grin that tugged at a person and made them want to return the sentiment. His dark eyelashes fluttered, a striking frame around his pale blue eyes. “Is it working?”
