I Had a Plan

My plan had been to submit two wips I had started in 2012 – I did this! Both were rejected. Not a flat out rejection, but one with suggested revisions to make the stories stronger.
That was not in my plan.
See once they were submitted I planned to write the next book in the Bag of Tricks series. I was excited about writing Becca’s story.
On top of the shifter book, I was working on a three book series. My EC editor loves the premise and wants to see the first book. I’m working on that now.
In between those four books I wanted to finish two contemporaries under my legal name, oh and I’m working on a non-fiction book.
So as the end of March approaches what progress have I made? Not much. I’ve revised one of the rejected books and resubbed for consideration. The other I haven’t even looked at.
I pulled out book one in my series and added 1k to the 7.5k I’d already written. Becca’s story? I’ve only managed tidbits here and there. With the notes I’m making I’d like to hope once I do sit down to write the book it’ll flow with ease.
The two contemporaries? Just fleeting thoughts in my mind. I believe one had less than 1k and the other, just more notes.
The non-fiction, which I planned to write 500 words a day on? 500 words is where it left off.
Sure I could blame my lack of production on stress, but I won’t. Everyone has stress in their life. My problem is procrastination. Sometimes I wonder if I’m a true writer or just a wannabee. Okay, okay, I’m a writer. But hey, sometimes I do wonder.
The year is early, only one quarter has passed. There’s still time to get a good portion of my PLANS accomplished. Will I?  Only time will tell.

TGIF!

So instead of blogging, I've been surfing and leaving comments for all my friends. I have no energy today. I feel like a bump on a log or an ass in my work chair. I could be doing a million other things, but I chose not to. Procrastination is a friend of mine. :o)

My newsletter should be out later today for those who subscribe.

I HAVE to wrap my gift basket today. I've rearranged the darn thing 40x, took things out, put new things in and replaced what I took out. It's a vicious cycle. If it's wrapped all pretty I won't want to touch it again.

Waiting to hear from my hair goddess who is working on a bridal party, to see if she can squeeze me in today or tomorrow.

I'm ready for a nap!

Happy Friday!

Procrastinating Again!

Procrastination has been my friend in July. Yes, I’ve had tons of edits, but I normally can do both writing and edits. I try to average 1k daily. During this month I started three different stories. One was a Christmas story and two erotic contemporaries. I’ve managed to write a total of 15k this month. Not one of the stories is finished. The Christmas one is close – a few thousand. The other two are just in the beginning stages. I’ve got lots of ideas for them, but have no desire to write.
I’m still getting up at the same time, going through the motions, but not writing. On top of that my family came in for a vacation. Granted I’m not on vacation, but they’re stopping by daily to visit and hang out. Unfortunately family doesn’t get the process of working from home. They think you’re home, what could you possibly be doing. HA!
I love them dearly and it’s great to see them, but AFTER work is over. LOL
Off to edit! The story of my life.

Happy Tuesday!
