The weekend was quick, but fun. I spent a few hours with
writer friends on Saturday. That’s always a good time. Spending time with other
writer’s always refuels my creativity.
After the writer’s meeting hubby and I went out for a nice
dinner and a movie. Of course we seen Ironman 3…we were disappointed for
different reasons. Halfway through the movie I kept checking my phone to see
how much time had passed and when it might end. I remember thinking how am I going
to tell hubby I wasn’t thrilled with the movie, but didn’t need to worry
because it was the first thing out of his mouth as we left the theater.
Now mind you I don’t have an issue telling hubby exactly how
I feel, but I’ve been really negative about a ton of stuff and I’m trying to
change that. I’m being less bitchy if you will. LOL
I will say for me the best part of the movie was the banter
between Tony and the little boy.
Enough of that…I’m sure others have different opinions and I
respect that. This one is mine!
I’m currently working on round two of edits. I had to change
the motivations of the heroine so it’s taking longer than usual for me, but
that’s fine because in the end I’m super excited about this new book.
The story is about grief, martial issues, and the suspicion
of infidelity. The heroine has to overcome some strong issues, but it makes her
stronger in the end.
We also spent the weekend interviewing Nanny’s. Our
daughter, who was babysitting two days a week, is in a difficult situation at
the moment. They’re out of an apartment due to foreclosure. The bank offered
her and the owners a nice sum to get out immediately…needless to say the money
will help them, so they moved out yesterday. Our little one will miss playing
with the kids, but hopefully they’ll find a new place soon and not be living in
limbo. Thoughts and prayers would be greatly appreciated.
So there you have it my life in a nutshell…
