Whet Your Appetite Wednesday

Book Three in the Freedom Fantasies series is PLAY WITH ME. Here’s a little taste. :o) http://www.jasminejade.com/p-8626-play-with-me.aspx

Blurb:
Dressed only in matching blue lace bra and panties, Kim hopes to lure David, her one true love, to the voyeurism-exhibitionism room. She’s dying to pin him to the bed and ride him all night long. She has a drawer full of condoms. All he has to do is show up.

David doesn’t mix business with pleasure, yet when he discovers Kim’s vibrator he can’t get the image of it nestled inside her out of his mind. He fights to keep his hands off her soft, silky skin, but knows it’s a losing battle.

When the co-owners of Freedom Fantasies finally get together in their playground, sparks are sure to fly.

Excerpt:

Kim sat at her large mahogany desk, looking at the different monitors lining the walls. Guests were mingling. Fun was being had by her many visitors. A small smile formed on her lips.
Success. Sweet, sweet success.
Tonight was hit. Almost every room was filled, all except the one on the top floor. Kim hadn’t expected anyone to reserve the room. It was her room. The room she’d been preparing for the man who had her heart.
Her focus returned to the bar where guests were enjoying cocktail hour. The first floor was open for anyone who didn’t mind being seen at the Manor. Due to the nature of the Manor, anonymity was requested by some of her guests and Kim provided it to the fullest extent.
If someone wanted to spend the night in one of her rooms, but with privacy, Kim placed them on the third floor. There was a back entrance with an elevator that led to the floor.
She provided escorts at the back door and then again at the door opening to the third floor. Guests were discreetly led to and from their rooms. Most dressed in black from head to toe. Large hats or sunglasses adorned their heads to hide their identities.
In fact her good friend Paige and her husband Jed had recently spent some time on the third floor. Paige whisked them in under disguise. Because of Jed’s standing in the community he couldn’t risk being seen coming to Freedom Fantasies.
Yes, she understood their need for privacy. It wasn’t your run-of-the-mill mansion or bed-and-breakfast. No, the Manor was a place where people came to live out their ultimate sexual fantasy. Whether it was to be dominated, loved by two, three or even four men or women, it didn’t matter. Kim had a room for every desire.
She even had a special room on the top floor designed especially for her. Kim had fantasies of her own. She’d yet to use the room, but she hoped one day the source of her obsession would come around to her way of thinking and finally give in to his desires. David Shea. Though he didn’t know it. Kim could smack him over the head with a frying pan and he’d probably still be oblivious.
As if he knew she was thinking about him, David came into view on the monitor. Looking as sexy as hell dressed in black jeans and a charcoal button-down shirt, he mingled with the crowd.
He smiled at something Mrs. Fergus was saying. She and her husband were using the schoolgirl suite on the second floor. They didn’t care about being discreet. They’d frequented the Manor many times over the last year, since it opened. And they had recommended the place to friends.
David touched Mrs. Fergus’ hand, nodded a few times and then moved on to the next set of people. Eventually he moved out of sight.
David Shea. She’d loved him for the longest time. He was the reason she bought the place and remodeled it. She hoped he would find her too sexy to deny any longer. But he hadn’t. The one thing he had done was bankroll the adventure. He insisted on being fully involved in every aspect of running the place. Except she hadn’t let him be part of her room. She’d put her foot down on that one. Oh, he tried worming it out of her, but she could be just as stubborn when she wanted to. If he wanted to find out what her room was all about, he could, but that meant giving in to their sexual desires. Something David wasn’t ready to do yet.
Frustrated, she snapped the pencil she’d been holding in two.
“When will you come to your senses?” she growled, tossing the broken pencil across the room.
“Whoa!” David said, walking into her office. “What’s eating you?”
Not you! She wanted to spit.
“Nothing. Just having a hell of a time balancing last night’s deposits.”
He strode across the room and stood behind her. He bent for a closer look at the spreadsheet on her desk.
“Want me to look it over for you?”
His warm breath assaulted her neck. Tingling sensations crawled down her skin, filling her clit with lust and desire.
She groaned.
“I’ll be fine. I just need to walk away for a few minutes, that’s all.” She pushed her chair back, practically ramming him. She didn’t offer an apology. Shit, he shouldn’t be so fucking close, causing her body to ache with a need for release.
“You sure?”
She heard the concern in his voice before she looked at his eyes.
She’d insulted him.
“I’m sure. Look, I’m sorry. I just need a few minutes alone. Will you excuse me?”
He shrugged, but his gray eyes clouded over.
Without hesitation, she rushed from the room, haunted by the pained look in his eyes. She slipped into the next room. Her bedroom. The one she slept in all alone every night thinking and dreaming about David.
Leaning against the door, she fought to catch her breath. This hold he had over her was too much. Maybe she should just use one of the other rooms and have some fun with someone who wasn’t David. Someone who was his direct opposite. Maybe that would cure her of her feelings for him.
She crossed the room and stared out at the expanse of the ocean. Waves crashed against the rocks, shattering. The way her heart did every time David rejected her. He didn’t know how much she loved him or how much it pained her to be so close to him.
Buying him out of the business might be a good idea. That way she wouldn’t have to deal with him on a daily basis. She wouldn’t have to deal with him at all. Maybe that was her answer. Maybe that was the cure to erasing David from her system.
Somehow she doubted it would work, but it was a good thought. One she’d give some serious consideration to, because a woman could only go so long without sex. And her battery-operated friend was no help. It didn’t give her the pleasure a real cock would. No, Kim had to get laid soon or she was going to explode.

Feeling Guilty

Yesterday the hubby and I snuck off for some Christmas shopping. I felt guilty making the babysitter think we were working, but it’s come to that. We have no time to do anything. We’ve taken the little one with us, but I can’t concentrate on the task at hand and watching the little one. She loves to run and her daddy loves to let her.
I’m all for letting her burn energy, but she doesn’t watch out for others. Others get frustrated by a child running wild, even if she’s barely 17 months.
So we took off and shopped. At one point it started raining so hard and I wasn’t prepared for the downpours. Not sure where the umbrella I keep in the car disappeared to and I didn’t have a hood on my sweater.
After leaving the toy store I looked like a drowned rat. That’s when the shopping day ended.
When we came home and updated our spreadsheet I was surprised by how much we accomplished. We even saved money. Not a ton, but coming in under budget was the goal and I did it. LOL Seriously, it IS a big deal. :o)
Today after my yearly review with my boss, I’m gonna try to sneak off and shop for the hubby. If I can get an hour in I know I can make a dent. I have a list and I have a plan.
I’ll be glad when the stress of the holidays is over. Maybe I can go back to sleeping again. Tomorrow I’ll have my Whet Your Appetite Wednesday and then the 12 Days of Christmas contest will begin.
I’m over at Seven Sexy Scribes today talking about reviews – yet again!
Happy Tuesday.

12 Days of Christmas

I love Christmas. This year we had the tree up and decorate by the beginning of December. The last few years it’s been about 10-14 days before the big day. Every morning when I get up, it’s still dark out. I turn on the tree and enjoy the peace and quiet.
I love giving. The hubby asks me every year to PLEASE stick to the budget. Every year I promise and then I don’t. :o) He told me he factors in my overspending and I still go over that. LOL
This year I’m following the budget. I’m even looking for great deals and trying to spend less for more. I’m off to a great start!!! I’m proud of myself.
So, because I’m doing so great saving on gifts for my family…
I’ve decided I’m going to do another 12 Days of Christmas giveaway this year. There will be ebooks, print books and gift cards. I’m going to keep all the contests open until midnight on Christmas night. I’ll announce the winners on 12/26.
The contest begins on December 13th.
Happy Monday.

She’s not prepared for young, sexy, funny Liam. He’s wants to explore the limits of pleasures Brooke didn’t know existed. Their sexual experiments and seductions leave each other breathless. But Brooke still isn’t certain she’s able to let one night turn into many.

Chapter One

It’s time to put these away. I need to move on. It’s time for closure.
Brooke stared at the pictures scattered all over the floor. They’d haunted her for over eighteen months. Memories of what she had lost. Memories of what she should’ve had. The one and only love of her life. Carl.
He’d been gone for a long time. She would never forget that dreadful day when her future mother-in-law had called with the news. Carl had been killed by a suicide bomber. He was only days away from coming home. Instead he’d returned in a body bag.
It was time for her to get back to the living. She needed companionship. She wanted to feel a man’s strong arms around her again. The need to feel safe and secure grew with each passing day. And if she was honest with herself, she needed sex. Down-and-dirty sex.
She’d been lonely for so long. She wanted to remember how it felt to have a man ravish her body.
Kim, one of her best friends, had been offering to set her up in a room over at Freedom Fantasies forever. Freedom Fantasies wasn’t just any old place. It was a Manor where women went to live out their fantasies.
Paige, her other best friend, had recently rekindled her marriage there. Maybe it was time she had some fun—even if for only one night.
Looking around the apartment she’d once shared with Carl, she realized how much of him was still there. Pictures were everywhere. On the entertainment center, the end tables, even in the kitchen. There were constant reminders of their life together. It wasn’t healthy for her to continue to obsess over him. He was gone and he was never coming back. It was time she realized the truth.
Quickly, she got off the floor and started collecting all the photos. She placed them in a big pile on her bed. From the closet in the spare room she retrieved an old empty box she’d kept for future storage. This was the perfect time to pack away Carl’s photos. It was time to let go.
She stacked the photos one by one neatly into the box. Once they were all safe, she tucked the box away in the closet. She didn’t want to forget Carl, she just wanted to move on.
His closet had been emptied because his family wanted some of his belongings. She’d kept a few shirts, which she occasionally wore around the house. She liked having his scent lingering. His dog tags hung around her neck as a constant reminder of what they could have had—what was taken away by a suicide bomber.
She removed the tags and brought them to the closet where she packed them away with all his pictures.
As she passed the mirror, she stopped. When had she started to look so old? At thirty she wasn’t old. She looked tired and worn-out. She examined her reflection more closely. Her blue eyes were cold and empty. Her blonde hair appeared lifeless. Had she really been presenting herself to the world looking like this?
She rushed into the bathroom and turned on the shower. After giving her hair a thorough shampooing and conditioning she blew it dry. Using her large round brush, she added volume. She added makeup to her drab complexion.
Upon inspection she liked what she saw. She looked more her age again. She didn’t look old and beaten. It was time to put on some sexy clothes and hop over to the Manor. While she wasn’t going to have Kim set her up, she was going to mingle in the bar area. Maybe she’d find someone who intrigued her all by herself. There was nothing Brooke despised more than being hooked up.
While she was there she’d pop in on her friend and see how she was doing.

Adding Bestseller to my Title!

I guess I can laugh now…
Last week I blogged about how my book Out to Protect, the M/M was ripped apart and some of the comments were downright nasty and hurtful, well. Today I’d like to announce that Out to Protect is a Bestseller on Are.
It’s a first for me, but I’m excited. Even if I had to go to the dark side to get there. LOL Seriously, I enjoy writing M/M on occasion. I’m thrilled it’s selling like gangbusters.

Happy Monday!
