Blurb:

Florist Isabella Beaumont, through no fault of her own, is about to lose her business. She might as well lose her soul.  With no other options she turns to Lyon Sauvage, a man she dismissed from her life five years earlier. But is she willing to pay the unexpected price of ultimate submission?
Enigmatic millionaire Lyon Sauvage lost Isabella once. He has no intention of opening his heart and suffering that mistake again. When she appears on his doorstep desperate for help, Lyon presents her with a proposition she has no choice but to accept. But will his revenge get her out of his system? Or condemn him to greater heartbreak?

Excerpt:

After all these years, Isabella would finally belong to him.
Lyon sat behind his desk, the echo of her stormy exit adding agony to his pounding headache. Isabella left behind a trail of sultry, seductive scents that hardened him like stone.
Still as beautiful as the day they met, Isabella possessed a fiery personality, a sensual nature, and with a body so alluring and quietly sexual, a man would gladly brave the depths of hell to touch.
Tomorrow his plan to possess her would become reality. Lyon's methods may have been a bit unorthodox, yet he didn't mistake the way her eyes heated when his cock ground into the silk of her skirt. Her moan of arousal awakened a longing deep inside him, and he sensed a spark of something that even in her denial, still remained. Isabella needed help to realize who and what she wanted. Would the long weekend provide her with the proof she needed to realize they belonged together? He would not force her to stay. At the end of weekend, if she insisted on leaving him, he'd let her go.
As for tomorrow, she would be true to her word. If she wanted to save her precious father and his business, she would come to him.
Whether she'd been gone five years or fifty, Lyon had never forgotten her. Hell, he thought he'd die when she ended their friendship. Yes, he knew she'd been in love with David. But since the day they'd met, Lyon felt a connection between them, a deep sensation that he couldn’t explained away. He wanted her then. Truth be told, he wanted and would welcome her now.
In the empty years without her in his life, meaningless sex with many lovely women of his acquaintance satisfied his body, but no woman had ever captured his heart as Isabella.

Now, the beautiful Isabella would be his, and he would show her what possessing a woman really meant. He'd teach her things, the likes of which she'd never dreamed.

Ocean Whispers. When a runaway heiress books passage on a luxury cruise ship to escape her cruel ex, will the battle worn P.I. hired to find her turn her in, or turn her on?

Whispered Magic….Could unexplained love between two strangers in Salem, Massachusetts be destiny? Or just someone's playful magic?

Excerpt:

"Jared, what are you doing here?"
Shana had always loved the sound of his name. Loved crying out when they made love. She'd scream it over and over as she came in Jared's arms. Then he'd bury himself deep inside her wet channel and she'd fall apart in his arms.
His mouth was a slash of angry indignation. As he stepped closer, she could see his nostrils flare and his eyes darken with tension. "Don’t answer my question with a question."
Lie, she told herself. Do whatever you have to do, just lie and get him out of here, before you do something you'll regret. Her heart pounded out a rhythm of something she hadn't felt in years. She couldn't help stare at him, yet no answer came forth. She tried, but couldn't lie again.
Yet she couldn't tell him the truth. He wasn't hers any longer. He belonged to another woman now. Shana had no hold over him.
"It's nothing, just allergies."
He moved closer, tall and handsome, this man she'd once planned on spending her life with. Shana could tell his hands were clenched inside his work-worn jeans pockets. "I don't believe you."
Shana shook her head, willing him closer, yet knew she shouldn't. "It's true."
He shook his head and his brows furrowed in a frown. "Liar."
If you take one more step, Jared, I'll fall apart. The scent of sweat and man wrapped around her, pulled her in. Shana stumbled back and almost fell over her chair.
"Why did you come back, Jared? Did you forget something?"
She followed his eyes to his car keys on the desk, and her heart sank. He only returned for his keys, not for you.
But he didn't retrieve the key chain. His unblinking gaze focused on nothing but her.
"Yeah, I forgot something. And I'm going to hell for this, but…."
Without warning, he grabbed her arms then pushed her against the desk. His warm and familiar touch drew a gasp from her. The fact he hadn't shaved drove her crazy. She'd always loved him scruffy, sweaty from a long day of working with his hands.
Was she crazy?
"Are you out of your mind? Jared, let me go."
His hands lifted to her face and held her in place so she couldn't look away. His mouth was so close to hers, she could smell coffee on his breath. He drank his coffee black with two sugars, something she'd never forgotten.
"Out of my mind? Maybe. My fiancée is down in the car, waiting for me. I'm getting married in three months. I found a way to go on with my life, after you threw me away. I met someone who loves me, and I care about her, as much as I'm capable of. You tore me apart and left me with no answers." His thumb traced the path of her lower lip. "I hate you," he whispered.
Shana shivered at his callused touch, her heart pounded in her ears. She couldn’t stop him. Her voice betrayed her. "Yes, hate me. Go away. Please, Jared."
"Please what? Tell me Shana, right now. Do I leave you or kiss you?"
Her legs gave way, and Jared lifted her easily. It felt so good to be in his arms again; she'd missed his touch, his strong embrace.
That earlier rigid self-control of hers was falling apart. She knew what she was about to do was so wrong, but she couldn’t help herself. Jared tore down her wall of resistance with a warm palm against her face. His voice was a choked whisper against her soft, warm cheek. "Shana, Shana."
~*~
Not waiting for her to answer him either way, his nose touched hers and the familiar feel of his erection pressed against her, hard as brick.
"Fuck this." His voice was a coarse growl and without preamble, Jared slid papers and folders from her desk to the floor, then lifted Shana and placed her on the desk, followed her down and kissed her like there was no tomorrow.

Shana's mouth opened to his insistent tongue, and he delved into her warmth, loving the taste of peppermint. This is what love should feel like, he thought. Knowing you'll die without the woman you love, holding her as if she's your other half. Having her kisses hold you prisoner from a place you never want to be free of. This is what loving a woman is like.
And he loved Shana. He'd never stopped loving her.
No words were spoken. Haste was of the utmost importance. He knew what he was doing was wrong, so why didn't he stop? Why didn't his fingers stop unbuttoning her soft blouse that would reveal the soft skin beneath? Why didn't she stop him and slap him and tell him to get out? He could see her dark pink nipples through the lace, pebble hard, waiting for his mouth to devour them like a tasty meal. He lifted the silky fabric over her head, exposing her full breasts. He proceeded to ravish her as if starved for weeks. No, starved for years . . . for her soft and warmth.
Hard as brick, his erection ruled his body as he reveled in her touch. Her hands were all over him, pulling the shirt from his pants, unbuckling his belt, and before he knew it, she released his throbbing, erect cock from its restraints.
"Ah yes, put your hands on me; that's it."

Reason abandoned her. All she wanted was to feel. Jared's hands and mouth were a carnal assault on her all too ready body, and she welcomed his touch, while wanting to connect with him. He was hard and thick and ready, and all Shana wanted was to experience Jared and invite him into her body.
The honk of the car horn broke the sounds of their passion, and brought them out of their sexual haze, and the realization of what they were about to do hit home like a sledge hammer.
"Jared, we can't, we can't."
Shana's head shot toward the window, her voice filled with shame and shock. "Oh my God. What have we done? You'd better go." Breathless, flushed and disheveled, she was unable to look into his eyes. "Look at us. Look at what we're doing."
Jared fought to catch his breath. "Is…is that all you have to say?" Jared appeared to struggle to catch his breath as Shana stepped away from him and instantly felt his loss. His gaze cemented on her, still dark and hungry. She knew from experience Jared was an insatiable lover. What they just shared would have been only a prelude to hours of deep, explosive sex.
His fingers turned her cheek toward him. "Shana, look at me."
She shook her head, and again, tears trailed down her face. "Oh Jared. I'm sorry this happened. I've betrayed everything I believe in. "Oh my God."  She cried, then shielded her face with her hands in shame. "Please leave before Thea follows you here. If she catches us, I'll die."
He nodded. "Fuck! You think I planned this?" His hands shook as he adjusted his clothes. "I'm leaving. But this isn’t over. I want answers, Shana, do you understand? I need to know why."
She pushed errant hair over her shoulder and fought to regain her calm. "There's nothing to know. Just leave me alone. I feel bad enough as it is. I'll hand your file over to an associate. Just tell Thea I was too busy to continue with your wedding plans."
He tucked his shirt in his jeans, threaded shaking fingers through his hair, then looked at her. Without words, he shook his head, turned and left. Shana thought she'd be sick.
How could you be so irresponsible? She chided herself as she mentally ordered her shaking fingers to still as she packed her papers in her bag.
Shana's body had betrayed her. Her nipples still throbbed, as well as her sex. Willing herself to calm, she drew shaky fingers through her wealth of hair, then took a deep cleansing breath. "It was a moment of weakness." She whispered, shrugging into her jacket. "I've been without sex for too long. And who could resist Jared? He was always the sexiest, most handsome man I've ever known."
But no matter how she tried to convince herself that it was just a moment of weakness that cost her control of her body to her former lover, Shana's heart shattered a little bit more with every step she took.
As she climbed into her car and sped home, she hoped she wasn’t stopped by a policeman, when all she wanted to do was go home, lock her doors, and have a good cry.

Welcome Heather Peters

Today I'd like to introduce you to a long-time friend Heather Peters. She writes sexy hockey stories, along with other totally fantastic books. I highly recommend them all!

Okay Heather...Tell us about your favorite character from your books. Right now my favorite characters are Nate and John from my new release, Whispers. They tore at my heartstrings. And, they're really hot and sexy!

1.  Tell us about your current release. Whispers is my new 2-novella anthology. The first story, Whispered Magic, is about Nate and Crystal, who meet one Halloween afternoon in Hawthorne Square, in Salem. Nate's aunt Lily, owns the local and very popular New Age shop, Mother Earth. She is an 80yr old, sharp, intuitive woman,  a little on the eccentric side. When Nate and Crystal find that they are instantly attracted to each other, one has to wonder if love at first sight is in play here, or is Aunty Lily up to her old (magic) tricks….The second story is told within the context of a five day cruise to the Caribbean. John Stabler is hired to find a runaway bride. He's a weary, hurting private investigator who knows if he finds this publishing heiress, the money he earns will enable him to finally retire to his mountain cabin. He doesn’t figure on meeting Celeste Foxworth, who steals his heart, and melts his jaded, cynical heart.

2.  Tell us about your next release. Ah, now my favorite subject: sports, or in the case of my next 2-novella anthology, Rules of the Game #3, both will be hockey stories, and I have two amazing heroes who not only play some ass-kicking hockey, but are also floored and humbled by the women they meet and fall in love with. This one will be released in very late Summer.

3.  What does your family think of your writing career?  I can answer that by quoting my 6 year old grandson, who overheard me tell my daughter about the release of Whispers, and commented: Nanny, you write about hockey players and love right?  That's my boy.

4.   As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? An actress, a rock goddess like Stevie Nicks, an archaeologist, a music producer, and a writer.  Well, one out of five ain't bad.
Amber: I wanted to be a rock goddess like Stevie Nicks too!!!! I still do. lol

5.  What are your favorite TV shows? As I grow older, I find my tastes grow more and more eclectic. I absolutely love The Walking Dead, The Big C, Nurse Jackie and Dexter. On the other hand, I also enjoy True Blood, Family Guy,Tanked, Once Upon a Time, Vampire Diaries, Arrow and Beauty and the Beast. Oh, I rarely watch the news; it depresses me.

6.   Do you have any suggestions for beginning writers? If so, what are they? I'm sure they've heard it all  before. I've been writing for the better part of thirty years; many rejections, a lot of tears and frustration, also there were a few years here and there where I didn’t write at all. Now after finally seeing a little success being an indie author/publisher, I only have three words, Don’t give up ~ If you are really serious about making it as a writer, you have to be tough and resilient. If you have a dream, go after it. It's a short life, go after what you want.

8. Tell us about your family.  I've been blessed with two amazing children (that includes my son-in-law and daughter-in-law).  My elderly dad lives with me and he can still drive me crazy, but at the age of 88, the man can still (and does) balance his checkbook to the penny, I kid you not. I have a best friend who has put up with my moods for the past thirty years (and still loves me). The love of my life and soul mate, Michael, passed nearly three years ago. He was my husband, lover, best friend, and encouraged my need to write every day of his life. I count myself so incredibly blessed to have had him in my life for twelve, amazing years.

9.  Morning Person? Or Night Person?  Definitely morning. I have no problem turning in at 7:30 p.m. Really. Seriously.

10.  What would we find under your bed? I don’t planning on looking any time soon.

Home Again, Home Again!

I’m home and full of ideas for a few new stories. The conference had some highs and lows, but overall an excellent conference!
What started off as a low at dinner on Friday night turned into an amazing high. The guest speaker stated he was a channeler. For me the speech was a tad sad and depressing. My friends love him, so I felt this is all personal taste. My parents always taught me to be respectful so I stayed and am I glad I did. After he was done my friends said let’s go up and talk to him. I didn’t have much I wanted to hear from him, but a dear friend of mine did. She wanted closer for a very difficult situation. As I stood in line I told her she may never get closer. I just felt it was best for her to be prepared that closure isn’t always available. Boy did Roland Comtois prove me wrong. He gave her so much closer he had me in tears. He also gave another friend some much needed information.
As for me he told me my dad needed me. I hadn’t spoken to him in over a month. I called and left him a vm and he called me back yesterday. Turns out my father had thrown his back out two weeks ago and was suffering. We spoke last night and I feel much better.
One of the highlights of my Friday night was meeting Julia Barrett in person. She is beautiful on the inside and out. She’s an amazing online friend so to see her, talk to her and give her a hug (or five) was incredible for me. Love ya J!
Another online friend I had the honor of finally meeting in person was Penny Watson. Folks she’s so funny and gorgeous in her tiara. I enjoyed her Promo workshop, her tiara and her ability to sell all her Christmas books at the book signing. (okay, so I was a bit jealous). ;)
That’s it for today. Tomorrow I’ll talk about Saturday and my agent appointment.
Happy Monday!

Guest Blogger - Heather Peters

Thanks, Amber for having me; Your interviews are so fun!

Thanks for being here today! I always enjoy having you. :o)

Tell us about your favorite character from your books. I love all my characters, but I'm going to say it's a tie between Lyon from Surrender and Dane from Secret Dreams. Lyon Sauvage is my hero from Surrender, my contemporary Beauty and the Beast novella. Lyon is scarred inside and out, and is in love with a woman who doesn’t love him back. But through his tenderness, nobility and devotion to Belle, the woman who left him five years before, he endures and eventually, gets the girl in the end. Dane, my older hero (he's 48) from Secret Dreams, has never married because his career doesn't allow room for a wife. Yet once he meets Annie, his fears about commitment fade away, and he makes a choice to do anything and everything to commit himself to Annie, and their love.

Tell us about your current release. Secret Dreams is my contemporary romance that features my feisty heroine, Annie DeRosa, a savvy, brilliant, music producer, who lives and works in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. She is the best at what she does and devotes her waking hours to her work.

My hero is music icon and 80s superstar Dane Franklyn, a fiercely independent musician, who is extremely possessive of his material. His music company has given him literally hours to write a title song for his upcoming album. He's never allowed anyone to share the load, until now. Finding himself in a bind, he's come to the conclusion he needs help. But when that help comes in the petite fiery form of lovely, sexy, smart Annie De Rosa, the sparks begin to fly.

The sexual tension crackles from their first meeting and gradually elevates into an all-out inferno by the time they begin working together in the studio. Being stubborn individuals, their personalities soon clash, and Dane and Annie agree to disagree. But music creates a language and sexuality all its own, driving them both to discover a passion and desire neither have ever known.

Tell us about your next release. Right now I'm working on two erotic romances; one, about a hockey goaltender and the team owner's daughter; the other, a spa owner and former DEA agent.

Who is your favorite author? Too many to list from today's top writers; but I'm going to reveal my age and say I fell in love with Kathleen Woodiwiss in 1976; Once I read Flame and the Flower, Shanna, and Rose in Winter, I felt that no one could ever create romance like she did; Now that she's gone, an era is over. She was one in a million, and will be missed.

When was your first sale? My first sale was in June 2009, with the release of an erotic romance published by Freya's Bower, called Toy with Me, written with my writing partner at the time, Eden Elgabri.

What is the hardest part of writing your books? Oh, you would have to ask that question! Lol….For me, it's the love scenes; I try very hard not to make them all sound alike, but I have to admit that I struggle to get those in bed and create a memorable lovemaking session. The actual act of love is so much easier than writing about it!

Where do you research for your books? Let's face it, how many of us could live without the internet? Google and I are real good friends.

Do you have critique partners or beta readers? My critique partner and dear friend and slave driver (sorry, kidding) Angela Aaron, keeps pushing me to get it right and keep going, when I want to give up or become discouraged; a good friend who believes in me.

Who are your books published with? Surrender, Secret Dreams and Best Laid Plans are Noble Romance Publishing Releases; With a Twist, a Red Sage release.

What do you think makes a good story? When I read a book, I want to know what's going to happy on the next page, and the page after that, and that page after that and so on; a story that keeps me turning the pages, a heart wrenching love story, a tender hero who adores his woman; a woman who stands up to her man, but loves him fiercely; a plot that keeps you guessing til the last page….now that's a good story.

Plotter or Pantser? Why? I think both, actually; sometimes, I just write as I go along; but lately, I've been using the 3-act structure and it's worked out fine. Whatever mood I happen to be in at the time I guess.

Tell us about your family. I have two amazing adult children, both married; I'm also blessed with two grandchildren, who, in the past several months, have literally saved my life and sanity when I was going through a hard time. I have great cousins and lots of aunts and uncles. So I don’t feel like an only child. I have a wonderful extended family.

Do you use a pen name? If so, how did you come up with it? Yes, I do have a pen name and I simply use my daughter's name, which is Heather, and my son's name is, yep, you guessed it, Peter.

Do you listen to music while writing? If so what? It's funny; as much as I love music, I can't write unless I'm sitting in total silence; I guess my attention span isn’t as deep as I'd like it to be.

How do you develop your plots and your characters? Do you use any set formula? No set formula; I usually will see something on TV or in a movie that will spark an idea, then sit down and think about how I want to write them into a story.

What book are you reading now? Right now I'm reading a bunch of old Sandra Marton's Harlequins; I simply adore her heroes; they are so strong, macho, confident, usually very rich and cocky, but tender and passionate lovers – works for me!

What are your favorite TV shows? I love True Blood & Vampire Diaries; also Nurse Jackie, Dexter and recently got hooked on Criminal Minds; love Shemar Moore – he's yummy!

What is your favorite meal? I'm an American Italian, as Martin Scorcese likes to call us, so anything that involves sauce, pasta, meatballs, or eggplant and Italian pastries make me a very happy girl.

What do you do to unwind and relax? I love to read, crochet, or just become a vegetable and watch TV.

Do you have any suggestions for beginning writers? If so, what are they? I'm going to be very corny and boring and say, never give up, no matter what. It took me over 15 years to get Secret Dreams published, but I got there. And don’t let anyone tell you writing for you is a 'hobbie' – it's what we do, what we are.

Morning Person? Or Night Person? I'm usually awake before five each morning; I love to nap when I can, but definitely a day person.

What would we find under your bed? Lots of dust bunnies!

Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers? Thanks so much for reading my stories and I hope to keep you all happy. I'll try to keep getting them out there, and bring you books filled with hunky heroes, brave, intelligent heroines, stories that explore relationships, passion, share laughter, and yes, mind-blowing, steamy sex!

Special Guest - Heather Peters

Today I'm handing my blog time over to Heather Peters. In Sept she lost her beloved husband. Since she's having a hard time still I'm going to give you a little taste of her new release from Red Sage.

Blurb:
Forty year old Ava Denotti needs a hefty dose of self-confidence. Can she get it from the twenty-nine year old former fiance of the woman that ran off with her husband?
Tattooed, Bad boy Shane Sullivan is determined to make up for the time he wasted with the wrong woman. He's finally given the opportunity to pursue an attraction that's always been forbidden. Sexy Ava Denotti is all woman, and he wants her- in every position possible, and he wants her bad.
The two kicked to the curb ex’s proving the end of one relationship can often be the beginning of something so much better. And falling in love can be a sweet revenge.
Excerpt:
He took her hand and cradled it inside his own, and Ava experienced instant warmth. "That's me, Shane Sullivan, Britney’s former fiancĂ©, and now very happy single man. It’s good to see you again, Ava."
Ava took note that he’d made it a point to inform her of his availability. But what would he want with her, a forty-year old divorcee with a weight problem? Oh, what the hell? What was a little harmless flirting with this gorgeous guy?
Ava stared at the black T-shirt tucked into jeans worn with age and comfort. He embraced her hand a little longer than appropriate, yet she didn’t mind.
What would it feel like to have those large hands caress and touch her breasts, to have those long fingers buried inside her pussy until she exploded into shards of ecstasy?
"It’s good to see you again, too, Shane." Her voice came out in a croak.
"Can I buy you a drink?" Yes, definitely a touch of the Irish in that lyrical voice.
"This just happens to be my bar, so in honor of seeing you again, the drinks are on me."
His eyebrows rose, and he smiled. "In which case, I’ll have a double scotch rocks if you please."
Elena wriggled her eyebrows and threw Ava a mischievous grin. "Another Cosmo for you, boss?"
"None for me, thanks, but Shane will have a double scotch rocks, on the house."
Elena winked at Shane. "The man knows what he wants."
Shane answered the bartender, but his eyes never left Ava’s. "I do indeed."
He leaned one well toned arm on the bar and faced Ava. "Well, I hope you don’t mind, but I’ve enjoyed the view all night and couldn’t help but overhear. If you don't mind me asking, what are you doing all alone on your birthday?"
"I’m not alone," she laughed, leaning into him, then waving her hand to encompass the remaining customers. Play it cool, and don’t make an ass of yourself.
He smiled and a flash of white teeth assailed her senses. "Well, not anymore." He saluted her with the glass Elena placed before him.
"I'm enjoying the atmosphere. I don’t need a date to have fun."
Shut up, Ava, you’re rambling.
"Good for you." He threw back his head and downed the shot in one swallow.
Even his Adam's apple is sexy.
His eyes were framed by the longest eyelashes she'd ever seen, and they bore into hers, freezing her to the spot.
"Ever since that party, I haven’t been able to get you out of my mind."
At her suspicious look, he continued. "I'm not handing you a line, Ava." He shrugged. "But I was engaged at the time and you were married. I may be a lot of things, but I don’t carry on with married women."
Ava’s heart fluttered. Oh he was good, very good. Elena re-filled his glass, but it was Ava who took it, lifted it high to toast him, and took a sip. Her throat burned as the liquor made its way down her throat and added to the fire in her pussy. She faced him once again.
"You’re hitting on me, aren’t you?"
"Yes I am. And guess what?" She shook her head as he placed one muscled arm on her thigh.
The warmth of his flesh penetrated the fabric of her dress and Ava hoped he hadn’t felt her shiver. Her nipples began to ache and the place between her legs grew moist.
"All I could think of since I've been here is what would it be like to have your gorgeous legs wrapped around me while I fuck you. I’m a man who says what he means. And I mean to have you, tonight, now, anywhere, you name it."

Ava flushed heat. Had he just said he wanted to fuck her? Yes, he had. So now what should she do.
Am I so desperate that I'm actually considering having sex with a virtual stranger? Have I lost my mind?
Her hand flew to her chest. "I think you're serious."
Shane nodded. "Yes, I am." He leaned in, his whisper, seductive. "Want to know what I think? I think you’re wet right now. I bet you're wearing a thong, maybe a sexy garter belt. My mouth is watering just thinking about what's under that dress. Are your nipples hard? I could make them harder with my mouth. Just the thought of sucking you has me so stiff I can hardly move."
He demonstrated by placing his hand over hers and sliding it discreetly over the hardened bulge in his jeans. He was long and thick. Ava swallowed. Solid, firm, like the rest of him. Her attempt to maintain her balance failed miserably.
"I'm getting the impression you want me too or you would have either slapped me or kicked me out of your bar by now."
Smart, as well as sexy. "You’re right."
Was she going crazy? Could she actually be contemplating taking him up on his invitation? Tall, charming and delicious he might be, but he was also younger than her by at least ten years.
It doesn’t seem to be bothering him. He's just being nice to you and probably feels sorry for you on your birthday, that’s all.
Still, amidst all her doubts, her body gravitated toward him. She wanted that gorgeous mouth of his sucking on her throbbing clit. Her blood raced through her veins as she imagined his cock buried deep inside her, making her scream with pleasure.
She was hot and flushed, and he raised an eyebrow, as if waiting for her answer. Go for it, Ava.
End your birthday with a bang.
She took a deep breath and swallowed hard. "Are you asking me to be bad, Shane?"
His lips curved into a sexy confident smile. "I'd be willing to bet that when you're bad, you're very very good."
He moved his body slightly, and Ava nearly missed the way he'd worked one long limb between her legs. She was suddenly aware of the ensuing quiet surrounding her.
The word 'no' never entered her foggy, lust filled mind. "Okay."
He led her to the tiny table for two in the shadows of the bar, sat so close to her their thighs touched. He placed one arm around her shoulder, the touch so commanding that Ava shivered with anticipation.
Why not.
"I hope you’re not driving home in your condition?" He interrupted her thoughts, concern clear in his voice."No, I live close by..
He didn’t smile. His gaze bore into hers, intense, as if one track minded. "I want to be with you Ava, tonight."
Oh God, what a line. "I’m not that drunk, you know," she whispered, held captive now by his intense blue gaze that sent white hot shivers down her belly to her center. His nostrils flared slightly.
"Exactly how, um, tipsy are you?"
She couldn’t help but smile. "Maybe a little bit. Do you often succeed with this sort of come on? Or do you keep choosing clichĂ©s until some unwilling woman falls into your clutches?"
He was undeterred by her smug replies and leaned in so close she could smell the scotch on his breath. God, he's so sexy.
"I have another one," he was still, very close to her, and Ava was mesmerized by his stillness, the intensity of his eyes, the heat of his body.
She tilted her head. "Let's hear it."
"Let me take you away from all this."
"Are you my Prince Charming, coming to rescue me on your white horse?"
His lips curved, his voice lowered to a sexy growl. "You don’t need a horse to ride, princess."
He nuzzled her and, his breath warm on her neck, and she exhaled sharply. The game had become a test of wills, and she leaned away from him.
"I don’t know you," she murmured, hoping he didn’t notice the nervousness in her voice.
"Yes, you do. It’s been," he made a point of looking at his watch, "nearly ten minutes since you bought me a drink."
One large, lazy hand traveled its way up until it stopped just short of the Promised Land.
Don’t stop."What do you want from me?"
If he moved even an inch, she’d come.
" I’m seducing you. How am I doing?"
She nodded, her breath catching in her throat. "Actually, very well."
His whisper lifted a lone strand of hair from her face. "I’ve come to one conclusion."
She held her breath. "And that is--?"
"I want to push you up against a wall, lift your dress, and bury my fingers in your hot, wet pussy.
I want to go down on you until you come. I want you to go down on me and make me scream."
He licked her ear, and chuckled when she shivered. "And I want to push my cock so far into your pussy, you'll bite your lips so no one will hear you cry out my name. Are you game, Ava? Are you willing to take a chance.
She swallowed and looked at him. Say no, and go home. Even though you’ve had a miserable day, don’t take a chance on a stranger.
"Yes."
He leaned in just enough for his breath to touch her mouth, and he kissed her again, his tongue teasing hers, making her tremble with want.
"So, where can we be alone?”
"I have an apartment upstairs."
"No."
Ava wanted to cry. Shane finally noticed her extra pounds and regretted his planned seduction. Her heart sank to her stilettos, until she felt him take her by the hand.
"I can’t wait that long."
Ava had just enough time to look back at Elena, who winked wickedly. "There's that's room in the back that's empty." The pretty barmaid pointed the way.
Ava opened her mouth, yet no words came forth. No, they couldn’t go in there. That room was for…
Before she completed her thought, she found herself being led to a part of the bar that was under renovation. A.J. was turning an old storage space into a game room. The area was empty except for the brand new pool table in the center of the room, sitting under a rectangular tiffany lamp.
Shane closed and locked the door behind them. He lifted her effortlessly and placed her on the green felt surface of the pool table.

Best Laid Plans
By Heather Peters

Blurb:
Wedding planner extraordinaire Taylor Forrester is stunned when her potential clients turn out to be her ex-fiancé Caleb Bryant and his future wife. It's obvious he's moved on with his life nearly three years after Taylor abruptly broke off their engagement. But Taylor harbors a secret that led to their break up. She had to let him go, but still loves him.Caleb Bryant's heart breaks all over again when fate brings him and Taylor together as he plans his wedding to another woman! One look at Taylor and Caleb cannot deny the love that still burns bright for his one true love. Will this chance meeting finally bring him the answers he demands? Or is it too late to mend broken fences?

Excerpt:

Taylor Forrester clutched her wedding planner like a bible, grabbed an overstuffed folder, and crammed both items into an already-crowded tote bag.
She looked around her tiny apartment to make certain she'd remembered everything. She chided herself for neglecting to do the laundry this morning, but duty called. Her boss, Jane Donnelly, had asked Taylor to fill in for a co-worker who was down with the flu. She dutifully gathered a lavender cloth bag engraved with the title, "Bridesmaid," which held everything she needed to create the perfect dream wedding.
The dream that hadn’t come to fruition for herself. She sighed, once again reminded of the old adage, "always the bridesmaid, never the bride."
She grabbed her car keys, slipped into her good Kenneth Cole heels, and took one last look around the room to make sure she had everything she needed for her meeting with the prospective couple.
Truth was, Taylor seldom forgot anything pertaining to her work. She was the ideal wedding planner, the perfect bridesmaid, the loyal maid of honor.
Big deal. She'd give it all up to be on the other side of the date book.
* * * * *
Twenty minutes later, Taylor arrived at her office, a tiny but serviceable area in a corner cubicle, and placed her valise on the floor next to her chair. Her thick binder sat unopened in the center of her pristine desk. She looked at her watch, puffing out a tiny sigh to see she had two entire minutes before meeting the couple she'd been asked to see. From habit, she touched the empty spot on her ring finger where a diamond used to sit. She gave herself a mental shake. This is no time for a pity party. Get to work.
Because today was Sunday, she was alone. She shrugged off her salmon-colored blazer, tucked her shoulder-length hair behind her ears, and opened her folder to make a mental note of the bride's name. Suzanne Dobbs was some rich society matron's daughter. The groom owned a construction company across town. Taylor was just about to read his name when she heard the ding of the elevator.
Taylor remained standing in order to greet the young couple who entered her open office doorway. She looked up and saw a stunning, tall, brunette walk toward her, with a much taller, sandy-haired man behind her.
Taylor's heart stopped.
Caleb.

Surrender - Heather Peters

A dear, dear friend of mine is having her debut release as a solo writer. She currently has a release Toy With Me(highly recommended) with another great friend Eden Elgabri and another coming from Red Sage - Oz.

Check out this new hot release from Noble Romance - Surrender

Blurb:

Florist Isabella Chandler, through no fault of her own, is about to lose her business.

Excerpt:

He curbed his arousal as she walked toward him, moving fluidly and putting all his senses on alert. What was it about this woman that turned him inside out and made his body betray him? Everything about her seemed to hold him captive, from her natural beauty to her sexual allure. Even now, the smell of her shampoo, a tempting floral fragrance, made his cock twitch. Damn her.
Her shirt displayed the outline of her nipples. His mouth watered at the sight of her tight jeans, pressing into the V between her legs, and the defiance evident in each step she took.
Did she have any idea how she affected him? How his flesh heated and cock hardened as she approached? Obviously, she'd become more insolent since her broken engagement to David. Lyon had been there for support. Wanting but never touching, knowing she loved someone else, he'd held her as she cried in pain and later, exhausted, while she slept in his arms. He'd even been tempted to kill her fiancée with his bare hands, but he'd tamped his rage for Isabella's sake.
Why in the hell he chose this way of getting her wasn't important right now. She belonged to him for the time being and that’s all that mattered.
He deserved her disgust and repulsion for forcing her to make this kind of deal. But first, he would taste and touch her. He would be the one to bring her to her knees as she surrendered to him.
She gave a slight look of defiant surprise. "What, no shackles?"
"You have a fresh mouth, Isabella. Try using those lips for something other than spouting sarcastic remarks."
Before she took another step, his hand swept out and turned her, pushing her against the hood of the car. He grabbed her ponytail and pulled back to gain full access to those enticing lips.

Heather Peters Interview

Please give a warm welcome to fellow chaptermate and Noble Romance author Heather Peters.
She was gracious enough to allow me to interview her.

Amber: How did you start your writing career?

Heather: I started writing in the mid-80's, when I fell in love with all the gorgeous lead singers of those great groups that inspired me to write my first book. It's a romance about an 80's singer trying to make a comeback, and his much younger gorgeous music producer. And I wrote it long before 'Music and Lyrics' ! It's never been published (I've received several rejections through the years), but some day, I may read it over again and try to submit it once more.

Amber: Tell us about your favorite character from your books.

Heather: My favorite character is Lyon Sauvage, my hero from Surrender, my upcoming e-book novella from Noble Publishing, slated for release on July 12th. Surrender is a contemporary take on the "Beauty and the Beast" fairy tale, my favorite. Lyon is scarred inside and out, and I fell in love with his feelings for Isabella, my 'beauty'. He is French, tall and sexy with long dark hair and he is my throwback to the Renaissance men of years gone by, classically educated and single minded when it comes to Belle. Nothing stands in his way to possess her, demand her surrender, and her love.

Amber: Tell us about your current release.

Heather: Toy With Me, written with my writing partner, Eden Elgabri, is available now from Freya's Bower. It’s an e-book novella, about a woman who takes a detour on her way to becoming a journalist, to selling sex toys on a local shopping channel. The owner of the television station is immediately attracted to her, and the sparks fly.

Amber: Tell us about your next release.

Heather: My first solo release with be Surrender, on July 12th, by Noble Publishing, a 23K word erotic romantic novella about Lyon and Belle, my contemporary version of Beauty and the Beast. When Isabella Beaumont finds her business is about to go under, she turns to the only person that can help her, Lyon Sauvage, a man who was her friend years before, but who she left because she couldn’t give him what he wanted, her surrender. Lyon agrees to help her, but for a price: her submission to him for 3 days….and nights.

Amber: Who is your favorite author?

Heather: Since I write erotic romance, I love reading erotic romance by my friends, naturally, like Eden Elgabri and Amber Skyze (ooohhh thanks *blushes*). I also enjoy Maya Banks, Sasha White, Megan Hart and Bella Andre. Their heroines are awesome, strong women who are not afraid of their sexuality.

Amber: I enjoy being categorized with Maya Banks and Megan Hart! :)

Amber: When was your first sale?

Heather: My first sale was June 3rd, 2009 and it was for Toy With Me, written with my writing partner, Eden Elgabri.

Amber: When in the day/night do you write? How long per day?

Heather: I have to say I'm a lazy writer, that is, I really don’t have a set writing schedule. I write when I have the time, and when I'm in the mood.

Amber: Tell us about your family.

Heather: I have a wonderful husband, who supports me and encourages me constantly. I am blessed with a grown son and daughter, and the lights of my life are my grandson and granddaughter, who remind me every day how lucky I am to have them in my life.

Amber: Do you use a pen name? If so, how did you come up with it?

It's simple really. My pen name is Heather Peters, my son and daughter's name. I recommend that if you're going with a pen name, make it something special, because you're going to live with that name, hopefully, for a long time!

Amber: I didn't know that's how you came about your pen name. Very interesting!

Amber: Do you listen to music while writing? If so what?

Heather: While I was writing Surrender, I actually listened to a lot of classical music, mostly Barber, Mozart and Vivaldi. I like to listen to Josh Groban too, because his lyrics and voice are so romantically sexual and potent, they actually inspire me to write many of my love scenes.

Amber: What books have most influenced your life?

Heather: The first romance I ever read was The Flame and the Flower, by Kathleen Woodiwiss. She influenced me to write compelling characters, and deep, meaningful love stories, intelligent plots and always, a HEA. I also am a big fan of Nora Roberts, Suzanne Brockmann, Brenda Novak, Sandra Marton, and too many more to mention.

Amber: What book are you reading now?

Heather: I'm reading "Trouble" by Sasha White, a steamy, erotic romance. Gets me in the mood for writing.

Amber: What are your favorite TV shows?

Heather: My absolute fave is True Blood. I also watch The Tudors and Dexter, and Nurse Jackie. House is another favorite. I think Hugh Laurie is the most amazing anti-hero I've ever observed. I'm not much for reality shows. My fave show of all time though, is "Beauty and the Beast," in my opinion, the most romantic series on tv or film, that I've ever had the pleasure to witness.

Amber: I'm a huge fan of The Tudors. A lot of my fellow authors are True Blood fanatics.

Amber: What do you do to unwind and relax?

Heather: Read, of course. I love the feel of a good book in my hands. I don’t own a kindle or any of those things. I'm a purist when it comes to books, and like to turn pages on my own, thank you very much!

Amber: What would we find under your bed?

Heather: A whole lot of dust bunnies! Seriously though, I must harbor at least 20-40 yellow legal pads of 4 or 5 unfinished wips – all in long hand! I keep promising myself I'll get to them – someday.

Amber: Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers?

Heather: Yes, and I will just coin some corny clichĂ©s and say that, if you love to write, I don’t care how old or young you are, don’t give up your dream. Write what you love, what moves you, what you know. If you've received passes on your work, send it back out again! Not everyone's work is a good fit for every publisher. Enter contests, write every day, even if it’s a grocery list. And the largest piece of advice I can give is to find a critique partner. I can't tell you how helpful it's been for me to have a person I trust to critique and read my work. I've been writing and submitting my work since 1986, and my first work was published last June, at the age of 56. I will write until I fall off my office chair!

Heather thanks so much for taking the time to answer my questions. I've known you for some time now and even I learned new things.
