Holy shit!

Teagan couldn’t remember ever experiencing such intensity before. Stars flashed before her eyes as Frank drove her over the edge, tumbling to ecstasy.

Both feet back on the floor, Teagan rested her head on his shoulder, allowing herself time to catch her breath and time to wonder what the fuck she was thinking.

Yes, it was a mind-blowing experience, but she wasn’t the type to let her inhibitions go and succumb to a man she just met. But she had to admit, Frank Black wasn’t just any man. There was something about him, something that made Teagan want to stay and learn more about him. She wanted to figure out what this attraction was she felt. There was attraction; a deep one that scared the shit out of her.

She hadn’t felt this way since Tim and her instincts were dead wrong about him. She didn’t want to make the same mistakes trusting another man. Maybe it was the phone calls. They had her sexually frustrated and needing release. Maybe she was confusing the need for sex with attraction. But damn, Frank did know how to please her.

Teagan felt empty as Frank stepped back, but her emptiness didn’t last long. He wrapped her in his arms, planting gentle kisses on her face.

Blah

Still suffering from the blues. Nothing a little eye candy can't cure. ;-)

I've decided to keep the original AND rewrite the story. I'll see if I like the NEW version and if not, I'll submit it elsewhere.

Baby T, our granddaughter is visiting today. She'll boost my spirits. Softball this weekend. L still isn't playing, but it's the last tournament of the season and she'll be there to support the team.

Maybe I'll do some writing again. Hope everyone has a spectacular weekend!

Dilemma

I received a rejection/rewrite offer. The biggest reason the story was rejected was because it didn’t fit the line I submitted it to. Okay, that’s understandable. But my editor is asking I drop the last 5k from the book. There are other things she’d like to see dropped too. This could mean another 1k plus being lost to the story. It’s only 25k as it is!

So what’s the dilemma? I like the “other” things she wants me to drop. For one it leads to another story. Hey, I like series what can I say. I’ve been plotting these two other characters story.

I could give the story to my other editor. But I like the line the editor is suggesting. I like the idea my book would be geared towards it. BUT I’m I really ready to sacrifice the story I had?

Too much to think about. Do I rewrite or submit elsewhere? I’m not sure what I’ll do. I have to give it some serious thought. For now I’ll just admire Marcus! ;-)

Ho-Hum

I'm back in a funk again. Not writing. I think the last round of edits took everything I had. I know new edits are coming my way soon too. I just finished the cover art request for Heat Waves. I really enjoyed writing this book and look forward to the release.

Instead of waking at 4-4:30am, I find myself sleeping until almost 7 every morning. Enough time to have coffee before starting my work day. Can you see the avoidance???

I have three wips, one for each publisher, I could be working on, but I'm not. Luckily none are under deadline. I have an idea for a M/M mulling around in my fried brain. I want to start it, but I'm waiting to hear what my editor thinks of another one I submitted.

I do hear the pool and my bright orange float calling my name! LOL With the limited sunshine this summer, I try to get outside as much as I possibly can. Hopefully I'll snap out of this mood soon and get back to writing.

Ever since Shane mentioned his feelings for the older woman Taylor in the first book, I was intrigued and so was excited to see a sequel had been written. I wasn’t disappointed as the anticipation, eroticism and satisfaction was all there. The chemistry between Taylor and Shane was well written as I could easily believe that they had known each other for a while and that the mutual attraction had been bubbling away nicely the whole time. The “interruption” of characters from the first book during the pair’s first date was nice and added to Taylor and Shane’s building frustration. When they do finally get to explore their feelings – phew – it’s going to be One Tasty Night that might just make both of them realize how much they’ve been missing.
