We did a lot of partying over the weekend. On Saturday we had to go to a three year olds party. Plus run around for the cookout at our house on Sunday. The DH’s father and family came over to celebrate Father’s Day. We ate lots of food and my BIL brought some delicious pastries. Overall it was a great weekend.
Progress on Stranded is coming along nicely too. I’m currently at 22k. I projected this to be around 25k. It will likely run over, but hey, that’s cool. I’m sure the editor won’t mind. I’m still hoping to wrap it up by Friday.
Our vacation plans have changed about 50 times. Originally we were going to go away for a few days alone. My youngest has decided she doesn’t want to spend much time in NY with her father. (Can’t say I blame her) We decided to take her and a friend and drive to PA. We were there two years ago when she qualified for Nationals with her softball team. We went to Hershey Park, but a big storm prevented us from staying. We swore we’d go back, so that’s what we’re doing. Next Thursday we’ll hop in the car and make the 6 hour drive. We’ll return on Sunday and relax on Monday as we both have it off from work.
Today I plan to spend some time on the pool deck and enjoy this sun!

We Are the Champions
Yes, my daughter's team won the 16U tournament. I thought we were playing in the 14U division, but I was mistaken. Our first year 12's were playing in 16U. It was a nice ending to the fall ball season. Two trophies. Oh, and yes, the coach lied. We have practice two nights this week and he decided to sign us up for one last tournament with the one local league who hasn't ended their season. Too bad we had prior plans and will have to miss the tournament.
I've found a new guilty pleasure on television. Not brand new, but one of those shows I hate to miss. It's Destination Truth. Josh Gates has to be the funniest guy I've watched in a long time. I tune in just to see what crazy things will happen on his explorations. If you've never seen the show it comes on after Ghost Hunters on the SyFy channel, Wednesday nights at 10pm EST.
Things are still quiet on the writing front. I'm not getting up at 4am anymore. I'm lucky if I crawl out of bed in time to wake my daughter for school. I have to figure out a new writing schedule. I'm not going to bed any later, so nighttime writing isn't happening either. I'm frustrated. :)

Last Day of Softball
As the coach was handing out the trophies for our team winning the 12u fall ball championship, he said, after tomorrow(today), we're going to take a much needed break. You see we've been going non-stop since Aug '08. I have a hard time believing him because he always says things like that and then we're back at practice on Monday. These girls NEED a break. My daughter not so much because she lost three months of playtime with the concussion, but the team, as a whole, is exhausted.
Today we play the final tournament for our 14u fall ball. I hope today goes smoother than yesterday. Games were two hours behind yesterday so what should have been four hours at the field, turned into six. The winds were 30mph, the temps in the low 60's. I was freezing. Today is supposed to be sunny and low 60's. I'm sure it will be better. I'm still dressing warm.
Didn't manage any writing yesterday. There's always today.
Happy Sunday!

Nice Long Weekend
It's so quiet on the loops with most of my fellow authors off to RomantiCon. I have a long weekend from work and I'm going to enjoy it writing. Yes, we have softball tournaments this weekend, but because we placed 1st in the league we only play one, possibly two games. If we win the first we go to the championship game. That was for our 12 and under team and 14 and under. So, the weekend shouldn't be that bad. The nice thing is the games don't start before 11am. Yay! I can have more writing time to myself.
The stomach bug seems to have finally left me. I don't like being sick. I'm not one to be waited on and the DH likes to pamper me when I'm sick. Don't get me wrong, it's sweet, but I like to hide away from everyone. This way I don't spread my germs.
Hope everyone enjoys the weekend! I suddenly have the urge to go for a swim! ;)

Need a Drink
Feeling a little better today. Accomplished a lot yesterday and this morning. This afternoon I'll begin to tackle the edits. That's all I have left.
I'm cleaning little by little for B's b-day party Sunday. I'm glad it's a three day weekend. I feel like I haven't stopped running for over two weeks.
Softball started up again. Fall Ball. This lasts until October. And if I'm correct Basketball will start in November. But she must stay active or she'll drive me nuts. She is a child that can not handle boredom. Thankfully she likes sports.
Back to the daily grind!

Blah

Still suffering from the blues. Nothing a little eye candy can't cure. ;-)
I've decided to keep the original AND rewrite the story. I'll see if I like the NEW version and if not, I'll submit it elsewhere.
Baby T, our granddaughter is visiting today. She'll boost my spirits. Softball this weekend. L still isn't playing, but it's the last tournament of the season and she'll be there to support the team.
Maybe I'll do some writing again. Hope everyone has a spectacular weekend!

Kicking Ass
I have been so busy lately. Today I managed to get two new submissions out to my other two editors. I'm feeling good have three out at the same time. This will give me time to work on the other handful I have waiting!
My daughter was tripped during a basketball game at recess 2 weeks ago and she suffered a concussion. I've been taking her to various doctor's appts because she's still suffering from headaches. She had an MRI done yesterday and that came back negative - THANK GOD!!!! But we have to wait and watch. The concussion hasn't stopped her from going to the softball games, she just can't participate. She gets dressed in her uniform, sits on the bench and cheers for her team. She also sulks because she can't play.
Her team is in State tournaments right now. We won the first game last night and hopefully have another one tonight.
Me, I'm skipping the game tonight. I'm going to meet some writer friends for dinner. Tomorrow is all about reading. My TBR pile is toppling over. Hope the sun is shining where you are, because it isn't here!
