Impromptu Contest

I’m in a good mood. The summer is here and I’ve finally gotten some use out of the pool and the new deck. The temps are in the high nineties and I know others are suffering, but it’s a blessing for those of us in New England who lived through the terrible winter.
Although I have to work the dreaded day job Saturday I’m still looking forward to having a picnic in the yard.
So, the contest will run through Sunday July 24th at midnight EST. Just leave a comment telling me what you like most about the summer. I’ll chose a winner at random and announce it on Monday.

What will you win? A copy of one of my ebooks.

  1. I love bbq's. I love getting together with friends in the yard for some great food, great conversation, and some cocktails. Enjoy that pool, it's going to be another scorcher today!!

  2. Ooh, count me in for this contest. In summer, I love 4-wheeling, swimming, evening walks, hiking trails, boating, 4th of July, family basket dinners, Harry Potter movies, and more! But honestly, I could probably do without the heat in summer!

This is our 12th day this month we've had temps in the triple digits. The weather guy said we didn't have any day in July over 100 degrees last year. Yuck.

  3. I have your books so don't enter me - but I'm glad you got in the pool! Enjoy your 'me' time while you may!

  4. I enjoy taking the kids to the pool and working the summer festivals. I used to like summer, b/c the spouse went to work, but now he's retired.

I also like cooking on the grill, since it means less clean up in the kitchen:)

  7. My favorite part of summer.. Especially now, is my central air conditioning.. Living less than a mile to the beach is a close second, but I who wants to deal with the crowds, sand, & sweat, everyday..Instead, living on the 11th floor of a high rise... I just take my water bottle, book and towel out to the balcony and sit in my lounge chair enjoying the view of the beach, reading my book and drinking my water until I get to hot...At that point, I get up, and go inside to my A/C..

  8. I enjoy going on day trips and baseball games with family and friends. Each summer I look forward to our neighborhood cook out. We get to catch up with old neighbors and meet new ones.

    Thanks for the contest.
