Progress is Sweet

I've been taking small steps to get back in the swing of things. I made a to-do list for each day this week. Nothing overly crazy to get me depressed if I didn't finish. As of today it's going good. I accomplished everything I've tasked myself and more. I even managed to open a wip and add four pages to it. I miss writing and everything that comes along with it, but there are times when I just couldn't do it.
This morning I realized that I have NOTHING new with any of my editors. It's a scary thought. I'm not waiting for any news of a new contract or a rejection. When did I let this fall by the wayside? I've had a manuscript in editors hands at all times for over a year and suddenly I don't. I need to fix this and fast. So, I have one story just about done that I'm determined to have submitted by the 1st. Let's hope I can accomplish this one!

Off to work on getting that manuscript polished.

  1. You can do it, honey! I swear, I'm in the same boat. Close to finishing several things but nothing in the hands of my editor and it's frustrating. Sigh. I finished a chap. late last night and will continue on today. Good luck in getting the ms. in by the first.

  2. I'm still waiting to hear of my second Kenzie book has been accepted or rejected. Trying to stay busy with the sequel to ASEW and getting ready to start NaNo. November's going to be crazy if it's accepted! Otherwise, more waiting as I send it off elsewhere.

  4. Same here, Amber. I have three WIPs that are close to being finished but nothing out with editors. Kinda frustrating when you're so close but not quite there, huh?

  5. I know what you mean. The only things I have out in an editor's hands at the moment are two short stories for a free site. I'm almost ready to submit another book to my new editor, but it's not there yet. I've got to get busier, too. Good luck!
